Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Richardson, TX

We’re Here to Answer Your Questions

Not a day goes by that we aren’t answering questions. We love it, and we encourage our patients to ask as many as they like. Why? Because we want everyone to have the knowledge and confidence when it comes to pursuing better oral health. But to help in this process, we invite you to review the following frequently asked questions and let us know if you need additional help.

How often should I plan to see the dentist?

It is recommended by the American Dental Association, as well as our team, that you maintain regular six-month dental checkups and cleanings. This means coming in to see us twice a year so that we can evaluate your smile. During these visits, we’ll make sure your pearly whites, restorations, and soft tissues show no sign of decay, gum disease, or damage.

What is the best way to replace my missing teeth?

At our dental office, we currently offer three options for replacing missing teeth – dental bridges, dentures, and dental implants. All of these solutions are proven effective and can restore a level of functionality to your smile. Not to mention, you will feel more comfortable eating, speaking, and smiling again.

I have dental anxiety. Do you offer sedation?

Yes, we are pleased to offer nitrous oxide to patients who are experiencing mild dental anxiety. Easily administered, the mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen quickly takes effect, making you feel fully relaxed and comfortable throughout your appointment. Once the gas is turned off and the mask is removed, the effects will dissipate quickly, allowing you to resume normal activity after your appointment.

Do you treat children?

At Jupiter Family Dental of Richardson, we are pleased to help our youngest patients. Children of all ages are welcome to come to our dental office and receive the highest level of quality care. Offering helpful preventive services to these patients, we will be happy to assist in developing treatment plans that allow for optimal oral hygiene and health as they transition into each new stage of life. From toddlers to teenagers, we’re here to help your child smile brighter.

Will you accept my dental insurance?

Yes, we are an insurance-friendly dental office that will happily welcome your plan. A member of our team will review your policy to determine the most effective ways to maximize your benefits and help you save. We’ll even file any necessary claims on your behalf.
